The World Turns

The world turns, the world turns,
As many as there are live starting,
So there are as many ending.

The sun rises, the sun sets,
The moon shines, the moon fades,
It all continues to rotate.

Hearts break, hearts mend,
Lovers find another, lovers kill each other,
It never really goes asunder.

It will all continue not matter what,
It will all keep going until there is naught,
The world turns, the world turns.

Desert

The wind blows, the wind blows
Across the arid desert, the wind blows
Across shifting hills, stone grains dance
With a waltz, beautiful, as the wind blows

The sands shift, the sands shift
Ever changing knolls, the sands shift
Like molasses, the sand flows
Flaring the desert’s skirt, as the sands shift

The sun shines, the sun shines
Like a great bonfire, the sun shines
As he walk across this desert of peril
His heart yearns his soul pleads, as the sun shines

The man falls, the man falls
Like a domino that starts the flow, the man falls
His lasting breath call forth salvation
His eyes see an oasis, as the man falls

The winds blow, the winds blow
Across the serene desert, the winds blow
Devouring the prey, the sand dances freely
The forsaken descends the dry ocean, as the winds blow

Here’s another of my poems, its about one of my favorite landscapes: the desert. I really find the desert a very profound place despite it’s arid, bleak facade.

Every time I look at a desert I feel a void inside of myself the seems to be rooted in that sea of sand. I feel myself being drawn forward, into it and the more I look the deeper I get.
